Every dollar goes to girls first. Our founders and volunteers cover operating costs during our first year, so donations fund scholarships and mentor programming directly.
- $25 covers a girl's competition or exam fee
- $100 funds a semester of a coding or design course
- $500 is a full GirlFuture scholarship plus six months of mentorship
GirlFuture is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Volunteer
Most of what GirlFuture does is done by volunteers. Pick something that fits the time you have.
Be a mentor
1 hour a month for 6 months
Meet monthly with one girl in your field. Answer her questions, review her work, make one introduction.
Review scholarship applications
4–6 hours in February
Read and score applications with our rubric. Training takes 30 minutes.
Host a "see my work" visit
Half a day, once
Invite 5–10 girls to your office, lab, studio, or kitchen for a tour and honest Q&A.
Give a 30-minute role-model talk
1 hour
Tell the real story of how you got where you are, on a live video session with girls.
Run a skills workshop
2–3 hours
Teach a resume clinic, a first-budget session, a Canva or Figma basics class, or an intro-to-Python hour.
Write or record for our resource library
A few hours, remote
Write a 'build yourself' article, record a short video, or check that our resource links are current.
Bring your skills to the nonprofit
Flexible
We need help with design, fundraising, grant writing, social media, legal and accounting, and engineering for this website.
Be a campus or school ambassador
